Stuff I Do

Design Manager: Lead a team of 11 designers – including UX, Visual, Research, Front-End Prototyping and Content Strategy.

Creative Director: Guide the story and experience for a wide range of forward-thinking financial products.

Researcher: Take a Design Thinking approach to lead exploratory design work for conceptualizing product innovations in the FinTech space.

Partner: Work closely with Product, Development and Executive Stakeholders to determine the vision of Capital One’s digital portfolio.

Teacher: Present to multiple groups within the company to help them take a human-centered approach to everything they do/make. Present at multiple events outside the company on various topics, including integrated teams, design methodologies and processes.

Stuff I’ve Done

Capital One Wallet: Hand-picked by the executive team to research, conceptualize and design the entire experience for the Capital One Wallet. Learn more about this project here.

Built a Badass Multidisciplinary Design Team: Upon the success of the Wallet, was asked to build a design team to support and explore new features within the Wallet, as well as explore new experiences in the digital commerce space.

Influenced: Helped the company evolve their digital culture from a traditional banking mindset to a forward-thinking design & technology company.

Led the design and experience for a wide range of consumer & b2b products in the software & hardware space (I know, kinda cryptic. Sorry, the NDA gods are watching).

Worked with project director and development manager to meet deadlines and stay within planned budget limits.

Determined if there was a need to hire contractors / freelancers and coordinated the hiring for all projects.

Coordinated critiques with project creatives to help inspire and push their ideas past their boundaries.

Oversaw front-end and back-end developers closely to make sure final product met design/ui requirements.

Won new business effort to bring in larger projects from CNN. Brought in AirTight’s top client, AutoTrader.com.

Led creative on top-tier online and print marketing initiatives for country’s largest auto classified site.

Conceptualized and designed award-winning interactive, print and video campaigns for AutoTrader Classics.

Coordinated and conducted field research with customers to design and develop new business intelligence tools.

Worked closely with marketing and product teams to create cohesive branding throughout all campaigns.
